Dr Giacomo Borsari
Giacomo Borsari is a Senior Scientist at ABS Biotechnologies, where he leads genome engineering projects involving advanced cellular models, including induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). He serves as a scientific interface between customers and genome engineering partners, supporting the development of tailored genetic engineering solutions.
Giacomo holds an MSc in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the University of Bologna and has a multidisciplinary background in molecular biology, cancer research, and biotechnology innovation. His PhD research at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, University of Cambridge, focused on metastatic breast cancer and chromatin regulation. Prior to joining ABS, he worked at bit.bio and Revvity, specialising in genome and cellular engineering technologies.
